The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Architect - Data Radio Systems to join our team. This role involves researching, testing and designing the integration requirements for existing data radio products into wireless power applications, including applications for the automotive, telecom and aerospace industries.The ideal candidate will have a background in system architecture and electronics or communications engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-performance, robust and reliable solutions.

Your Day-to-Day at Solace Power:
  • System Architecture Design: As a member of the Solace technical team, research, develop and design robust communications solutions that integrate with wireless power systems.
  • Requirements Analysis: Translate business, technical and regulatory requirements into system specifications to ensure designs meet the needs of the application.
  • Integration and Performance Optimization: Develop systems that tightly integrate with Solace’s wireless power technology and optimize performance with a particular focus on data throughput, latency, and reliability.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all solutions comply with applicable standards, such as ISO 26262 and ASIL requirements. Navigate and implement safety standards for automotive applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, electrical and mechanical designers to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
  • Technology Integration: Stay current with the latest advancements in data communications solutions, wireless power technology and automotive industry standards and integrate them into existing and new systems.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation for system designs, implementation processes, system testing, and compliance reports.
Must-Have Requirements (like coffee in the morning):
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in system architecture and data radio communications solutions, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in system architecture design and engineering.
    • Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques and algorithms, including experience with software tools for DSP design and simulation.
    • Familiarity with communication protocols and standards, including Wi-Fi, 5G and other emerging communication technologies.
    • Experience with embedded systems and real-time data processing.
    • Well-developed skills in using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and signal generators.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have this too… (like dessert with every meal!):
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in system architecture, and/or electronics engineering.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects from conception through implementation and evaluation.
  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement new technologies in practical applications.
  • Standards: Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASIL standards considered an asset.
